The Rolf Trans Am is an optical frame handcrafted in the Tyrolean Alps, Austria from natural oak wood. Each Rolf frame passes through at least 78 processes and features a patented screwless hinge, with no metal parts. Every pair is unique due to the natural grain of the material.
Handcrafted in Austria from precious woods.
To obtain the result of lively patterns and structures, the veneers are rotated by 90°. Smoked oak changes color through steaming and thereby gets a brown, dark brown or even a black color tone. The smoking of the wood gives the eucalyptus veneer a very expressive color, which doesn’t show any signs of aging even after many years and is also more durable.
