Masunaga K3

Masunaga designed by Kenzo Takada was launched in Paris in 2014 as a collaboration between the 1905-founded Japanese eyewear house Masunaga and legendary designer Kenzo Takada. The collection unites Japanese precision craftsmanship with Kenzo's signature use of color and pattern, blending vintage-inspired elements with contemporary design. Each frame is handmade in Fukui, Japan from titanium and hand-polished acetate. Its design draws on the Japanese aesthetic of space. Engravings mark the decorative parts, and the colors are chosen for contrast. The 2014 Campanule model won the Silmo d'Or for Best Sunglasses.

The design draws on the Japanese aesthetic of 'ma', the beauty of space, with engravings on the temple tips and decorative parts and colors chosen for contrast.
