What Are Stellest Lenses?
Stellest lenses are FDA-authorized eyeglass lenses clinically proven to slow the progression of myopia, also known as nearsightedness, in children. They are the first and only spectacle lens to receive FDA market authorization for myopia management in the United States, granted through the De Novo pathway in September 2025.
Rather than simply correcting a child's current prescription, Stellest is designed to address a root driver of worsening myopia: the elongation of the eyeball during years of active growth. By reshaping how light reaches the peripheral retina, Stellest sends a visual signal that has been shown in clinical trials to slow that elongation.
For families weighing options like daily atropine eye drops or overnight orthokeratology contact lenses, Stellest offers a non-invasive, evidence-based alternative that a child wears as regular glasses. Our optometrist can prescribe low-dose atropine in-house, and we refer families to a specialist for orthokeratology.

If your child's Stellest prescription came from a pediatric ophthalmologist or another eye doctor, we can fill it. Bring the prescription to any of our three locations and we will take the fitting measurements and order the lenses. A new exam is not required.

Our optometrist reviews myopia management options with you, including Stellest spectacle lenses, which are FDA-authorized, and MiSight daily disposable contact lenses, which are FDA-approved for myopia control in children. We can also prescribe low-dose atropine where appropriate, or refer your family for orthokeratology. If Stellest is the right fit, we take fitting measurements and order the lenses.
Fitting and Follow-Up
Once your child's glasses arrive, we confirm the fit and review wearing instructions. Follow-up visits are scheduled to track progression and ensure the plan is working.
