Our Optometrists

Meet the Doctors

Licensed, experienced optometrists who chose private practice because they believe in taking time with every patient.

Dr. Lee Gelman

Optometrist

In practice since 2005, Dr. Gelman graduated Magna Cum Laude from SUNY State College of Optometry and completed his residency in Ocular Pathology at the Newington VA Hospital. He also holds a civil engineering degree from Vanderbilt University. Beyond comprehensive eye exams and ocular disease treatment, he specializes in all contact lens fits including multifocal, multifocal toric, and gas permeable lenses. Dr. Gelman has volunteered his expertise on eye care missions in Jamaica and Peru with VOSH (Volunteering Optometric Services to Humanity).

Dr. Andrew Elm

Optometrist

Originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin, Dr. Elm received his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Utah before earning his Doctorate of Optometry from Pacific University in Oregon. He gained clinical experience at the Salt Lake City VA Hospital providing eye care to military veterans. Dr. Elm believes proper patient education is an integral part of any eye exam, and works to provide the best quality vision for each patient. When he's not in the office, you'll find him snowboarding, on lengthy bike rides, or cheering on the Green Bay Packers.

Dr. Alex Yang

Optometrist

Dr. Yang received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and earned his Doctor of Optometry from SUNY College of Optometry. While studying, he traveled to Nicaragua with VOSH to provide eye care to underserved populations, sparking his passion for community service. He has experience fitting a variety of contact lenses for nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism, and believes thorough patient education is an integral part of every exam. Outside the office, he's an avid ice hockey fan who enjoys baking bread, trying new food, and hiking.
