Major Medical Insurance
Most major medical insurance plans can be applied toward the cost of your eye exam. Medical insurance covers the health evaluation portion of your visit.

Common Questions
We accept VSP vision insurance as an in-network provider at all three locations. We also accept most major medical insurance plans, which can be applied toward your eye exam fees. Please bring your insurance card and we'll verify your benefits on the spot.
We are not currently in-network with EyeMed or Davis Vision. However, if you have a medical insurance plan, we can often apply that toward the exam portion of your visit. Give us a call and we can help you understand your options.
Just bring your VSP card to your appointment. We verify your benefits before your exam and apply your coverage at checkout. Your plan typically includes an allowance for the exam, frames, and lenses. We handle all the billing directly with VSP.
Yes. Most major medical insurance plans cover the health evaluation portion of a comprehensive eye exam. This is separate from vision insurance, which typically covers eyewear. Many patients use both: medical for the exam, VSP for frames and lenses.
No problem at all. Many of our patients pay out of pocket. We're happy to discuss pricing when you call or visit. Keep in mind that your medical insurance may cover a portion of the eye exam even without a separate vision plan.
Plan for about 30–45 minutes. Our optometrists are private practice doctors who take their time — no rushing, no assembly line. They'll check your prescription, screen for conditions, and answer all your questions.

We use ZEISS lenses for the vast majority of our orders because of their exceptional clarity and durability. While we can offer other lens options if needed, ZEISS has been our preferred standard since 1989.
Yes! We offer same-day ZEISS single vision lenses at all three locations. Most single vision prescriptions can be ready in about an hour. Progressive and specialty lenses typically take 3–7 business days.
We carry 25+ curated independent brands including Jacques Marie Mage, AHLEM, Anne et Valentin, Barton Perreira, Chrome Hearts, DITA, Lindberg, Masunaga, Matsuda, Mykita, and more. Each store is curated differently to reflect its neighborhood.
No appointment needed for frame shopping. Walk-ins are welcome at all three locations during store hours. Our opticians are happy to help you find the perfect frame.
All three locations share the same hours: Monday/Wednesday/Friday 10:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Tuesday/Thursday 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Saturday 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM, and closed Sunday.
Yes. We offer complimentary adjustments and minor repairs for frames purchased at Visionary Optics. Just walk into any of our three locations during store hours — no appointment necessary.
