Walnut has been considered one of the noblest woods for furniture for centuries. The wood is matt brown to dark brown and patterned with darker veining. The native wood of the cherry tree has a reddish colour. After being smoked, the cherry veneers develop a Cognac-like color and a sophisticated silky matt finish.
