The MYKITA Hemp is an optical frame, handmade in Berlin.
MYKITA was founded in Berlin in 2003 by Moritz Krüger, Harald Gottschling, Daniel Haffmans and Philipp Haffmans, and still designs and builds every frame at the MYKITA HAUS, its modern manufactory in the Pelikan-Haus in Kreuzberg.
MYKITA MYLON is 3D printed at the Berlin manufactory using selective laser sintering. The hybrid models pair that printed front with a stainless steel structure.
The openly displayed spiral hinge is signature MYKITA design, patented and built without screws or welded joints.
Sintered polyamide flexes and returns to shape rather than holding a bend. Our opticians adjust MYLON with heat in store, the way acetate is fitted.
This one is the MH43 New Aubergine/Purple Bronze colourway.
Available at Visionary Optics' three NYC locations or online with same-day ZEISS prescription lenses.
