MYKITA ANUBIS Optical
MYKITA described Anubis as extremely light, a square-shaped frame in printed polyamide.
MYKITA was founded in Berlin in 2003 by Moritz Krüger, Harald Gottschling, Daniel Haffmans and Philipp Haffmans, and still designs and builds every frame at the MYKITA HAUS, its modern manufactory in the Pelikan-Haus in Kreuzberg.
MYKITA MYLON is 3D printed at the Berlin manufactory using selective laser sintering, which fuses fine polyamide powder layer by layer. MYKITA calls MYLON an exceptionally light and durable high-tech material.
MYKITA calls it a patented screwless hinge system on MYLON, so there is nothing to loosen and nothing for an optician to tighten.
The frame is built from MYLON, with a hydrophobic nano coating.
Lens width 54mm, bridge 17mm, temple length 141mm.
Sintered polyamide flexes and returns to shape rather than holding a bend. Our opticians adjust MYLON with heat in store, the way acetate is fitted.
This one is the MD22 Ebony Brown colourway.
Available at Visionary Optics' three NYC locations or online with same-day ZEISS prescription lenses.
