Handcrafted in Fukui, Japan by Masunaga Optical, founded there in 1905. Each frame is shaped and polished by hand by artisans who train for years before their work leaves the workshop.
From the 光輝 (Koki) archive, Masunaga's historical catalogue, reissued from period drawings and tooling that shaped Japanese eyewear through the twentieth century.
The 000J is an optical frame manufactured and assembled entirely in Japan. It is the Asian-fit version of the Masunaga 000, with raised nose pads and a built-out bridge for a balanced seat on lower nose bridges.
Material Premium cellulose acetate, hand-polished to a deep, even lustre.
