Leisure Society Oriel Optical
The Leisure Society Oriel is an optical frame handcrafted in Japan from pure block titanium and cotton-based acetate. Designed by California CFDA member Shane Baum, each frame is sculpted from solid block titanium, hand-polished like fine jewelry, individually numbered, and finished with jewelry-grade PVD ion-plating in 12k, 18k, or 24k gold. Available at Visionary Optics' three NYC locations or online with same-day ZEISS prescription lenses.
An acetate frame that offers a unique combination of a brow-line and teardrop shape, enriched with a subtle gold-plated diagonal stripe detail. The name pays tribute to Oriel College, the oldest royal foundation in Oxford (and constituent college of the University of Oxford). Highly intricate multi-dimensional laser etching applied to the titanium and rim wire, with high quality enamel insets. 100% pure titanium plated in 12k or 18k gold combined with Japanese cotton-based acetate temple tips and a hidden spring hinge.
