Leisure Society Equense Optical

The Leisure Society Equense is an optical frame handcrafted in Japan from pure block titanium and cotton-based acetate. Designed by California CFDA member Shane Baum, each frame is sculpted from solid block titanium, hand-polished like fine jewelry, individually numbered, and finished with jewelry-grade PVD ion-plating in 12k, 18k, or 24k gold. Available at Visionary Optics' three NYC locations or online with same-day ZEISS prescription lenses.

Inspired by the picturesque coastal town of Vico Equense, known for its breathtaking views of the Bay of Naples this midsize style reflects the timeless charm of the Italian coastline. It is meticulously crafted from an 8mm thick cotton-based Japanese Zyl. Each frame boasts exquisitely patterned core-wires in the temples, elegantly revealed in specific color variations through the addition of a transparent crystal acetate lamination. Notably, this style showcases our signature hinge, adorned with functional rivets, ensuring enduring strength and stability.
