Throughout the mid-1960s, Bob Dylan toured the world with a sole companion: one pair of iconic black cat-eyed spectacles. The Dealan pays homage to this unique relationship between a man and his eyewear. Reimagined by Patti Smith in collaboration with Jacques Marie Mage, the Rayon Violet colorway is a literary allusion to the work of poet Arthur Rimbaud, who was a major influence on Smith throughout her career.
