Summer 2026 Couture Collection
The Nine Days’ Queen
Lady Jane Grey reigned over England for nine days, the first woman ever proclaimed its queen. History remembers her crown. This collection remembers her books.
A devoted reader who took the philosopher Socrates as the model for her own thinking, Jane would slip away from the watchful eyes of her mother and her ladies-in-waiting to a small library in the tower, where she could disappear into a page. The four frames in this collection are drawn from that image: slender silhouettes made for quiet hours with a book, each named after a work of Plato, the disciple who wrote down what Socrates taught.
The Beauty Mark
Every frame carries a signature beauty mark. Three wear Sauvage’s origami-style arrowhead; the fourth, a vertical motorhead. The mark is not applied to the surface. It pierces through the front of the frame and is riveted clear through to the temple connection, so the detail that catches your eye is also the fastening that holds the frame together. Ornament and structure, in a single gesture.
Craft From Edo
The core wire running through each temple is finished in Yoshiwara-tsunagi, an Edo-period pattern of interlocking links symbolizing connections that never break. Along the temples, a diamond-cut pattern recalls the faceted precision of Edo Kiriko glassware. Each temple ends in a sculpted 3D titanium diamond ornament. Five-barrel hinges throughout, handmade in Japan.
